The Loverly
Tucked away in the quiet of the forest, The Loverly is a private and secluded escape built for two — 17.5 miles from downtown Asheville and 16 miles from Chimney Rock and Lake Lure, close enough for a day of exploring, far enough to feel like you’ve left it all behind.
This intimate retreat centers around a king-size bed with reclining, zero-gravity positioning and vibration, offering the kind of deep, weightless rest that makes the outside world disappear.
Warmth follows you through every room. Gas log fireplaces warm both the living room and bedroom, while a gas log stove keeps the screened-in gazebo cozy — all three controlled with the simple touch of a remote.
The kitchen is fully stocked for gourmet cooking, with everything from a coffee grinder and crock pot to a gas stove and full-size refrigerator with ice maker — ready for a slow, unhurried breakfast or a candlelit dinner for two. Two full bathrooms offer their own kind of indulgence, stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, bubble bath, and bath salts, plus luxury robes and
linens for settling in.
When it’s time to unwind further, the hot tub is waiting just outside — with towels provided just for that purpose — steam rising into the forest air, stars overhead. The screened gazebo and deck with bistro table offer their own quiet spots to take in the surroundings, and a propane grill is on hand for cooking outdoors.
Inside, two flat-panel TVs — with DirecTV, Netflix, Prime Video, and a Blu-Ray/DVD player — pair with a large private DVD movie collection for evenings that don’t need a streaming algorithm to pick for you. High-speed wireless internet keeps you connected when you want to be.
A full-size washer and dryer, iron and ironing board, and hair dryers round out the practical comforts, with starter supplies of coffee, trash bags, paper towels, and toilet paper waiting on arrival.
The Loverly isn’t built for a crowd. It’s built for the two of you, and the forest that surrounds you.
