The Loverly takes pride in exceeding our guest’s expectations.
A "Loverly" Stay!!
We celebrated our 40th anniversary at the Loverly, and couldn’t have picked a more perfect setting. From the fabulous kitchen, fireplace and sitting room downstairs, to the cozy bedroom with gas fireplace and clawfoot tub, everything was perfect! Brea has compiled a comprehensive instruction manual that covers everything in the cottage, and she is always available in the unlikely event something comes up. We loved just sitting in the living room and sitting room and looking out the large windows at the colorful fall display. Even the one rainy day we had was so peaceful in the sitting room, listening to the rain pattering on the roof. We look forward to future trips to Asheville, and trying to decide which of Brea and David’s cabins to stay in! Thank you Brea and David for creating such a wonderful get away!
The Loverly is Phenomenal!
We have stayed at The Bungalow and Chalet Quietude in the past and decided to try The Loverly. It has all the luxurious amenities we have come to love about Brea and David’s cabins: king-sized beds, hot tubs with the best views, well-appointed kitchens, cozy seating, and beautiful decor. The Loverly is the most fun with an adjustable Serta mattress with massage options, hot tub right under gorgeous fall foliage, gorgeous furniture and seating areas, and a fantastic kitchen. Brea is warm, helpful, personable, and knowledgeable about everything. She makes your stay a breeze from booking to check-out. We plan to be Brea and David’s guests when in Asheville!
Restful, luxury mountain hideaway
We had a wonderful time in Asheville and at Brea’s luxurious cabin. It somehow managed to be both comfortably spacious and cozy at the same time. The fully stocked kitchen is great for a fancy meal and the outdoor hot tub deep within the trees is a perfect restful escape. You can binge on DVDs, totally relax in the gazebo with a gas fireplace or enjoy the tropical sunroom, perfect for reading. The cabin seemed to have its own microclimate due to being located halfway up the mountain. Besides the birds, the property was almost totally silent.
We used the cabin as a base for exploring the area. It’s just a short distance southeast of Asheville, with convenient access to the Biltmore Estate area, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Mt. Mitchell, Black Mountain, Chimney Rock, Hendersonville and the key highways to get anywhere. Hopefully we can return to see the fall foliage.
Lovely time at Loverly!
This was the second Cabin in Asheville where we’ve stayed. Brea’s attention to detail is absolutely meticulous! We spent a long weekend, simply soaking in the ambience of this wonderful property. Speaking of soaking, the bathtub comes with a large array of scented bath salts and bubble bath, and was an extremely comfortable place to unwind. The kitchen is wonderfully appointed (which is very important to us), the furnishings throughout are very comfortable and the outdoor spaces (gazebo and hot tub) were well-kept and so relaxing. We hiked to the top of Bearwallow Mountain Trail and snacked on champagne and caviar. I cannot recommend this cabin highly enough, although I would rather keep it my secret…
Returning Couple who Intend to Keep Coming Back
This was our second weekend at the Loverly and very likely just one more in a series of visits still to come. We feel so much at home on that mountaintop. Civilization literally fades away as our CUV climbs the narrow road, and yet the Loverly —like a romantic, modern castle— provides indulgent creature comforts, from a picturesque backyard punctuated by a steaming hot tub and a screened-in gazebo, to a living area perfect for reading and watching movies, to a bedroom that’s cozy and warm with sunshine by day, cuddling by night. The Loverly invites both of us to easily find our own rejuvenating sweet spots somewhere between nature and modernity, while simultaneously encouraging us to enjoy our time together.
Brea is a considerate, attentive host who keeps her property so clean it feels as though no one has ever stayed in the house before. And take it from a couple whose first two visits were just ten weeks apart, Brea also keeps it updated. We immediately noticed more than a few aesthetic improvements and thoughtful touches had been added since our last stay, including an ever growing DVD collection that offers old favorites and intriguing new possibilities.
It’s a great getaway location. It’s hard to imagine that there’s something better for us than here.
